Attractions and Experiences
Avalanche Flyers
This new ride utilizes the same technology as one of the land's previous attractions, Toy Soldier Parachute Drop. Located in Explorer's Cavern, this is one exciting ride for the whole family! The structure supporting the vehicles is a giant elevator created by the speleologists, where guests board to go up and down through the cave observing the different oddities. While the entrance is located inside the mountain show building, the tower for the ride is only half inside of it.
Queue
Guests enter the queue for the attraction inside of the cavern, where they go through some switchbacks. The line is similar to the one for Ice Sliders, with different icicles and glowing crystals hanging all around you and in the wall. After this is over, riders will go through a short, snowy ice tunnel and return out into the main area for boarding the ride
Vehicle
The vehicle is very similar to the one for Toy Soldier Parachute Drop, but it is themed to a scientific exploration elevator. The only other big difference is the change in the positioning of the vehicles, so that when they are outside they cannot see the show buildings.
Ride Experience
The ride begins by lifting up to the top. As they start to get higher up, passengers will be able to look around the entire inside of the ice cave. That is short lived, because guests continue to go up into a vertical tunnel with icicles and ice crystals. Here there are also projections of falling snow. Riders exit the tunnel, still making their way to the top. Now they are outside of the show building, and able to oversee the rest of the land and park. They hear a man who is part of their "crew" screaming, "We must leave! An avalanche is heading towards the elevator!" Guests then drop down to the main area, and continually go up and down. Images of an avalanche are projected onto the walls.

Ice Sliders
Introducing an all new attraction coming to Winterland in HKDL. This flat ride is a better version of bumper cars, with a twist!
Queue
The ride entrance is inside the massive Explorer's Cavern. The queue winds through a cave featuring ice formations and glowing crystals. Guests eventually approach a frozen pond inside the cavern. They arrive at the loading area, where a Cast Member boards them into their Ice Sliders.
Vehicle
The Ice Slider is themed to a speleology vehicle, designed to slide across the ice of the cave. The vehicle receives electricity from the floor, so no ugly poles are sticking up to the ceiling of the cave. The Ice Slider can fit 1 person or 1 adult and 1 child. The Ice Slivers are equipped with a steering wheel. The vehicles move by themselves but can be steered anywhere on the ice.
Ride Experience
Guests hear a voice through the built-in speakers in the Ice Sliders. It is the voice of the expedition leader. He gives safety instructions on how to operate the Ice Slider. Soon, the vehicles began to slide! There are spots all around the "ice" that have projectors above them. Every 10 seconds, a "break in the ice" is projected onto the floor. Guests have to steer their vehicle away from the projections, or else they get a blast of air from the dashboard of the Slider and become immobile for 5 seconds! They can run their Sliders into other vehicles, even knocking their friends into the breaks in the ice! When the ride finishes, the projectors make the breaks disappear and guests depart their Ice Sliders. They return to the main area of Explorer's Cavern.
Dining and Shopping
Glacier Table
Welcome to an all new restaurant coming to Explorer's Cavern! This restaurant will immerse guests in the icy caverns of the Arctic and Antarctica. This brand new dining experience is nothing like any other HKDL restaurant and uses cutting edge technology to give guests a magical meal! This restaurant is similar to Be Our Guest restaurant at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in the sense that this restaurant is counter service by day and table service by night.
Facade
The facade of this restaurant is themed to an icy wall that runs from floor to ceiling inside Explorer's Cavern. The restaurant marquee is perched above the entry way and lights behind it glow from purple to green to blue.
Restaurant Theming and Layout
Glacier Table is split up into 3 highly themed sections or rooms. The first room is themed to the coast of Antarctica. The walls have ice and projected snow running up them and the sky is a projected image of the Antarctic sky. There are props/low-level Animatronics on the ice beside the tables that are structured so that guests can not touch them. Every 15 minutes, Aurora Australius (Southern Lights) begins to paint the night sky with it's majesty and wonder. The second room is themed to the Arctic tundra. Pine trees and ice surround the area and every 15 minutes Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) begins to light up the sky with it's wide array of colors and is a completely different show then in the Antarctica room. The final room is themed to a glowing cave of the Explorer's Cavern. The walls are the same as the ones in the main cavern except for a luminous twist. The walls glow and shine with different colors from Purple to Green to Blue.
Note: Guests can move throughout the rooms too see the Glowing Cavern, Aurora Australius, and Aurora Borealis.
Hours
Lunch hours last from 10:30am-3:30 pm. Dinner hours last from 4:00pm-30 minutes before park close.
Day Time (Counter Service) Experience
Guests arrive at the restaurant and enter a queue. They can use a special Fastpass to bypass the line if they wish. Then, they enter a icy room that has touch kiosks to place their order. There are Cast Members stationed throughout the room offering assistance to guests. Then, guests receive an RFID Penguin, Polar Bear, or Whale and can then proceed to retrieve their drinks and sit down at an available table. RFID technology will bring guests their meal on an ice cart when it's ready. Enjoy!
Night Time (Table Service) Experience
Guests arrive in the entry area of the restaurant, which is very different from in the daytime. The queue is gone and a host's/hostess's podium is sitting there, to put people's names into the waiting list or to accept reservations. Reservations are accepted and recommended, but one does not need a reservation to dine here during the dinner hours. When a party is called, they are brought to a table and their server will proceed with the normal table service agenda with drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Guests will leave with their bellies full and a smile on their face!
Food Carts
In Explorer's Cavern, the food carts will have "cooler" options like ice cream, popsicles, and all kinds of frozen treats.
